KNOWN to the world as “Miss Bluebell”, Margaret Kelly was the founder of the legendary dance troupe, the Bluebell Girls, in 1932. The scantily clad showgirls later became a fixture at the Lido in Paris, where they still perform.

Kelly set exacting standards, rejecting any candidate who was not both classically trained and tall. “The most important thing was to pick girls with long legs,” she later explained.
