The company's mission is to promote and explicate the diversity of Latin cultures through dance. Its secret is that it does so with variety, understatement and wit. Vilaro leads a company of attractive, fleet dancers, first and foremost, and he shows off not just his own work but that of other choreographers as well, so that the Latin seasonings spice each piece in unique and unpredictable ways.
