Steps from a war zone

I enjoyed reading "Steps From a War Zone" (see the link in Stuart's post, immediately above), about the workshops that the members of Daimokh taught in a school in England. What a wonderful image: an eight-year-old girl adjusting the wrists and fingers of a classful of adolescents.

Glad you enjoyed the article, djb. The print copy had some great images of tiny Chechen girls teaching large English lads.

The children have just won the "grand prize" of a very important festival in Russia; the preparations for the tour are going well.
