I 'm not sure if this is the forum to talk about this subject, but I was wondering if anyone ever did any contact improvisation. I did at my summer dance workshop and found it very interesting. Care to share some thoughts? Image<BR>

San Francisco is a contacters haven. I've done a lot through the teacher I take from, jams I've gone to and companies I've worked with including my husbands. I love it. It was very freeing for me having been mostly a ballet dancer before college. It is a skill that needs to be developed though, and I don't suggest trying it with people who don't know what they are doing, unless you are VERY careful. I got a concussion that way. Contact inplrov is an indespensible tool for developing choreographic material and is a necessary skill to have if you want to make it in the modern dance world.
