Allan Ulrich writes, "The sixth annual San Francisco Butoh Festival drew a healthy crowd for its opening event - a 40-minute solo by Japan's Setsuko Yamada - Wednesday evening at Theater Artaud. And the house sold out for Thursday's downright peculiar visit by the Berlin troupe Verwandlungsamt, who will dance again Saturday evening, the penultimate event in the project."
Read the full article in the SF Examiner.

I wanted to go!
I got a postcard from a friend who went. It has a pictre of Anzu Furukawa in a red robe, grinning in the shadows!
My friend wrote on the 5th, "We just finished up the first week, which left us with deep bone aches and wide smiles."
