No, yoga isn't dance. Not even OTHER dance, but what the hey - dance studios have yoga classes.
This is great for those of us who sit at a desk for any period of time. I just like the fact that it shows the moves.
http://www.will-harris.com/yoga/
(as a side-note - for those into typefaces and webstuff, check out Will Harris's homepage)

Grace, try this image with the shoulder blades. Imagine that you are going to put them in your back pockets. (If you were wearing jeans.) You pull the shoulder blades down while rotating the humeral head back, which gives the sensation of pulling the tips of the shoulder blades into the body. The tips being the lower pointy part of the scapula. It's important not to hyperextend in the thoracic spine while doing this.
[This message has been edited by Maggie (edited August 17, 2000).]

Doesn't he have cool fonts?
I like the putting my shoulderblades in my pocket description. One teacher of mine talks about shoulderblades sailing down our backs like ships. This thought works for me a little better.

Hey Maggie, I shared the shoulderblades in pockets image with a friend last night and she was very excited about it.
The simple things. They count so much! Image
Thanks for the tip.

Oh, great, Priscilla. It's a favorite, too, of my clients. (That shoulder placement can be so hard!)
