She was 90.<P>Ramishvili trained as a dancer at Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater. In 1945, she and her husband, Iliko Sukhishvili, founded the national ballet company, envisioning a troupe which would combine traditional Georgian influences with modern dance.<P>The company has toured all over the world and has preserved many unique Georgian folk dances.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>I don't think that this company has ever come to London. But the Georgian State Dance Company showed us all that Georgia has an immensely strong dance tradition. The combination with modern dance certainly sounds intriguing.
