Eighteen teens from the Al-Raja Palestinian Folkloric Dance Troupe in Ramallah, in the West Bank, are making the trip of a lifetime, performing traditional dabkeh dances for audiences in the United States.
On Thursday evening, the teens were at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek as part of a six-week tour that took them from New England to California, with four local performances in the Bay Area, the last of which will be tonight at 7:30 at Notre Dame University in Belmont.
