Tall and broad-shouldered, with a majestic shaven head, Chipaumire, 42, was a striking presence on the Bay Area dance scene until 2003, when she moved to New York to join the troupe Urban Bush Women. This weekend she's back - and she's bringing her dramatic personal history with her. "Chimurenga," an hourlong multimedia solo, relays memories of her homeland in three sections: "Kaffir," "Convoys, curfews and roadblocks" and "Pungwe/musingoutloud about the revolution."
