And that is what this new show is all about: a rumbustious music-heavy comedy about the life of the circus. It starts with a clown’s death and tells the story, in flashback, of a circus family over some 100 years. “So you will see some changes in style, different styles of clowning and costume,” says Alwen. No animals, then? “Yes, but they’ll be physical theatre animals.”
