Oups sorry about that =)
Hmmm. I'd like to know if there is a lot of modern dance school around the world. I know that there's many Ballet school (like ABT etc.)....But what about modern school (not companies). In Montreal, we have a college and 2 Universities where they give a complete formation in Modern dance.
And, where did you all learned Modern ?

Here in London there are two important modern dance schools. Bear in mind we call it contemporary dance here. They are the Laban Centre:
www.laban.co.uk
and London Contemporary Dance School;
http://www.theplace.org.uk/html/educ/educ.htm
Both have a fine reputation across Europe and graduates go on to work with leading companies. Both offer performance dance to MA level. The Laban Centre also has a strong dance research department.

Eva, it is very common for the dance departments in universities to be modern-oriented, rather than ballet - in fact a serious ballet program at a university is a real rarity. so that means there are very many modern dance training programs, across the world, which are easy to find, by contacting local tertiary institutions which have arts programs. Image
then of course there are all the private schools.
are you looking for something in particular?

grace's comments apply here in the Uk as well. A number of Universities have dance departments and most specialise in modern except for University of Surrey, Roehampton, which is mainly ballet. TUK could tell us more about this one.
My impression of these University depts. is that the students don't usually go on to be professional performers, unless they continue their studies at one of the specialist dance schools, such as LCDS, Laban or Northern, after their degree courses.
