Here is a preview of a very intriguing performance:

quote:
Flying With God, War and Sex
Cirque Batard puts social issues into the ring
Bob Graham, SF Chronicle Senior Writer Sunday, October 29, 2000
Two years ago, Keith Hennessy ran away with the circus. Now the San Francisco performance artist is coming back in a show that defies easy classification.
It is circus, performance art, dance, music and theater. Cirque Bâtard, a multi-disciplined, quasi-circus and modern dance show is performing in SF. Here is a review:

quote:
Cirque Bâtard unclear on its concept
Robert Hurwitt, SF Examiner
Routines are clever, but the philosophy doesn't quite click
WATCHING Linet Andrea clamber clumsily atop a table and pull herself onto a trapeze, you know it's a setup. Despite her ungainly bathing-suit-and-platform-shoes costume and awkward battle with the ropes, the sole female member of the French-American Compagnie Cahin-Caha's Cirque Bâtard is bound to astonish us with her aerial artistry.
