In these exciting and original works, Ms. Jones crosses her unique approach to dance with other art forms by joining forces with a rich palate of guest artists. Jones develops work incorporating the inventive rhythmical manipulations of tap dancer Barbara Duffy, the exquisite presence of ballet diva Eva Gregori and the stunning gravitational defiance of aerialist Chelsea Bacon. Jones gives reign to costume directed dance with designer Britt Nhi Sarah, and even creates an amusing piece in collaboration with a non-dancer. Jones also choreographs to an eclectic mix of music classic and contemporary, from country, to jazz, to opera, even text. A musical highlight includes a special recording of Jane Siberry. The remarkable thing is that no matter the music, the collaborative partner or the milieu, Jones never loses her passion for storytelling and character development that give her dances their particular wit and clarity.

Choreography: Angela Jones in collaboration with Performers: Sara Baird, Chelsea Bacon, Barbara Duffy, Eva Evdokimova-Gregori, and Costume Designer: Britt Nhi Sara Composers/Musicians: Andrea Browne, Erin Browne, John LaSala, Gary Pozner, and Jane Siberry Lighting Design: Joel R. Pape.

Angela Jones has been producing concerts almost non-stop for the past five years. She has received grants from the Peninsula Community Foundation and twice from both the Manhattan Community Arts Fund and the Meet the Composer Fund. She has shown her work in such venues as HERE, the Joyce SoHo, City Center Studios, Cunningham Studio, Connelly Center, Context Studios, Pier 63 among others. Recently, she was also invited to show work at the National Theater of Guatemala. Regionally, Jones has created work for Hamilton College, the University of Pennsylvania Museum, Composer’s Guild of New Jersey, Mayfair in Allentown Pennsylvania, and Terpsichore SAND in New Jersey. She enjoys creating work that is cross-disciplinary, theatrical and original in almost every aspect and as accessible as it is intelligent. As a dancer you may have seen her recently on television in David Parsons Times Square 2000. She holds a degree in Sociology from Stanford University. She is also co-artistic director of MacDuffie/Jones Dance who recently finished a highly successful run of "The Snow Queen”.
