Floeur began by taking her parents out of the comfort zone of their classical training and asking them to improvise. She was aware of 50 years of dance wear and tear on their limbs: "Mum had a bit of a diaphragm spasm during rehearsals and Dad's knees are a bit dodgy."

Accordingly, the choreography is slow and statuesque and accompanied by evocative music such as Cirque du Soleil's Wind of Romance.
