Image
Twyla Tharp, photo by Greg Gorman
An interesting interview with Twyla Tharp, which is published in a women's business magazine, womenconnect.com. As a result it touches on areas that don't usually get addressed, including her daily schedule. However, I do think Twyla should break this habit of getting up late. I mean in the gym at 6am - why so tardy?
The author, Cathy Grossman reads and enjoys criticaldance.com. Here's a quote from Twyla that.
'I empathize with an audience. People don't want a division between ballet and modern. They want an amalgam that is not Mall Dance, not a total blend with all distinctiveness lost.'

http://www.womenconnect.com/LinkTo/apr2800_biz.htm

[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited May 09, 2000).]

Cathy has written another article using her interview with Twyla and this one concentrates more on the dance works.
http://www.usatoday.com/usatonline/20000508/2238085s.htm
