Even better, he seems to assume that his audience knows how to think. And his narrations tend to plunge right into the tale, without any tiresome scene-setting, in luscious movement that is one of the chief pleasures of his choreography.

More

Lar has always been a real "fave" of mine. That rare modern choreographer who makes just lucsious, beautiful movement. I would love to see this piece, and how he tailors movement especially for men. A former dancer of Lar's -Rob Besserer, was a true virtuoso. He danced for a while with White Oak, and the?????? I lost track of him. He's someone who really should be in this piece. He was extremely tall....kind of a male equivalent of Peggy Baker.
[This message has been edited by trina (edited October 26, 2001).]
