The Holland Festival is since 1947 the festival for the international performing arts in the Netherlands. In June, we present exceptional and high-profile performances and concerts at different Amsterdam venues. Performances of international quality, mostly from abroad, in music, opera, theatre and dance. Performances which are generally not to be seen in the regular theatre and which encourage reflection and inspire visitors.

This year, the festival takes place from the 1st until the 26th of June in Amsterdam. This year there are a couple of interesting dance performances which are interesting for all the dance lovers!

Benjamin Millepied (choreographer of the Black Swan and the husband of Nathalie Portman) is coming with his company L.A. Dance Project to the Holland Festival with an interesting ballet performance.

Abou Lagraa is an French-Algerian choreographer who was on the Holland Festival 2010 with his performance Nya, which was a great succes. This year he will present El Djoudour, a performance about the traditions, practices and rituals which are rooted in the core values of the Islam.

CRACKz (Danca Morta) from the Brazilian choreographer Bruno Beltrao is a performance which is inspired by street dance and hiphop. The prominent dance magazine Ballettanz voted Beltrao 'rising star choreographer of the year'.

You can buy your tickets on our website www.hollandfestival.nl/en

I will hope to see you there!
