Review: TITAS thrills with look ahead

As if dance is not physically demanding enough, TITAS' "Reflections of the Future" ratcheted it up a notch. Friday's event at McFarlin Auditorium featured dance, an aerial artist and music. The musicians may as well have stayed home: They were no match for the daring of the dancers.
Control dominated. Striking shapes, movie-inspired music, minimal clothing and intense partnering surfaced again and again. The one exception came with Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago's freewheeling Can't Take This Away.
The Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Latin Music Ensemble got the show under way with vigor. click here for more
