One indicator of choreographer William Forsythe's great value as an artist is the difficulty, or even impossibility, of easy classification of his output.

Here on CD we have to classify to help readers find what they want, but it's as well to remember that these days, in particular, such a process is fraught with difficulty.

So, whereas the London visit of the Forsythe Company for the Contemporary dance festival, Dance Umbrella, was placed in our "Modern/Contemporary" forum, the current US visit is filed under "Ballet in the Americas" and can be found here:
