Any show with dancing hedges in is good in my opinion

I'll be in America then, I may just go to that, are there any other US dates yet?

Alex if you are in the DC area stop by and say hello.
The currently confirmed dates can be found on, looks like Seattle, Philadelphia, Washington DC in the early months of 2007. The official edwardscissorhands website only lists UK tour dates right now.

Well I'll be in Milwaukee, looks like DC will be closest to see the show at the moment, I suppose it all depends on if I have the money!

A review from the San Francisco Chronicle.

He has scissors for hands, but this boy sure can dance. Bourne's as sharp as ever with his stage adaptation of Burton's film.

Robert Hurwitt, Chronicle Theater Critic

Thursday, November 16, 2006

The feet fly faster than the topiary-snipping scissors-fingers of the artificial boy in Matthew Bourne's musical version of "Edward Scissorhands." Not a word is spoken, but the story of the strangely endearing misfit, who tries and fails to find a home in suburban America, is as clear, offbeat and enchanting onstage as in the beloved Tim Burton film on which it's based.

It's Bourne's week for coast-to-coast American openings of shows based on popular movies. His "Scissorhands" opened Tuesday at the Orpheum Theatre in a Best of Broadway American premiere, beginning a nationwide tour that will move steadily east, where "Mary Poppins" (which he co-directed for Disney with Richard Eyre) opens tonight on Broadway.

Hi Alex:
Are you still planning on coming to DC? I will be there along with Dani(Monkey'sraincoat) and another friend on opening night Tuesday the 13th of Feb. If you'd like to meet up we'll be in the KC Cafe at about 6:15. Let me know and I'll buy you a glass of wine.
There will be a post performance discussion with the cast, so it's a good night to attend.
