It looks like another interesting season in store. The major highlight is a new version of Sleeping Beauty by Christopher Wheeldon as well as a re-worked Folk Tale. It's nice to see the company doing extended runs of the full length ballets, as it gives the dancers a chance to really work with the material, especially the principals. Less Balanchine this year, but my understanding is that Hübbe wants to focus on the full lengths, which attract audiences and are the company's real strengths. Balanchine and more contemporary pieces also would not work so well on tour, both because the timing does overlap or nearly overlap with NYCB and ABT in New York, and because it makes sense for the company to show off its heritage when touring.

Swan Lake --- September 15 - November 6, 2010 (18 performances)

Napoli (the new version) --- September 25 - November 5, 2010 (8 performances)

Dance2Go --- October 8 2010 - March 8, 2011 (10 performances)
** This will include two abstracts and one pdd, including Serenade (Balanchine), Jord (Jorma Uotinen) and a pas de deux from the company's classical repertory. There will also be a short intro film. I think that this program is being put together to attract new people to theatre, with a shorter run time and cheaper tickets.

Who the ******* is Nijinsky? --- October 16 - 29, 2010 (6 performances)
** This is a performance by Company B, which is made up of students from the Royal Theatre School who are in the last three years of their ballet education.

Sleeping Beauty --- November 26 - December 19, 2010 (23 performances)
** The company is presenting a brand new version of the classic choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon after Petipa.

A Midsummer Night's Dream --- January 7- February 17, 2011 (6 performances)
** Neumeier's version will return again for a short time

Choreography Workshop --- February 18-19, 2011 (3 performances0
** This will feature choreography by dancers in the company

Hübberiet --- February 19, 24 and 26, 2011
** This will be a sort of talk show with Hubbe, choreographers and dancers discussing and debating topics in ballet for audience of the public

A Folk Tale --- March 11 - April 8, 2011 (14 performances)
** This will be a new version of A Folk Tale with Nikolaj Hübbe staging/choreographing and Mia Stensgaard doing the designs.

Ballet Evening --- Lander, Bournonville and Kobborg (10 performances)
** This will include Etudes, Konservatoriet and a new ballet by Johan Kobborg

The company will also be touring in Denmark from June 7-15, 2010
