[/quote]

Young, beautiful and immoral
She is young and naive, beautiful and in love. She wants it all, but cannot make up her mind. Two men compete for her favours and Manon is caught in a dangerous game, driven by passion without focus. She is torn between noble, pure love and the destructive pursuit of beauty and wealth.

It is a no-win situation, and so it goes in Kenneth MacMillan's tragedy, based on Prévost's femous 1731 romance 'Manon Lescaut'. Mia Stensgaard created new sets and sumptuous costumes for the 2003 premiere of this brutal, love-drama set in 1700s France, the story of a young girl's flirtation with the human soul's dark side. This successful production from the Royal Danish Ballet is back on the Old Stage.
