Post subject:  Bournonville Festival - Daily Trivia Quiz with prizes!

Greetings!

During the Bournonville Festival we will be running a daily trivia quiz!!

Thanks to the generosity of the Royal Danish Ballet, the winners will receive great prizes of Bournonville Festival merchandise including Bournonville tea, Bournonville chocolate, stamps and cup, Festival t-shirts and posters and for the final trivia question, the complete Bournonville Class DVD & book set.

Each evening of the Festival, June 3 - 11, a trivia question or questions will be posted in this topic. The question will relate to the ballet that has been peformed or to Bournonville himself.

Answers can be submitted by e-mail until the beginning of the next performance (8pm Copenhagen time).

The winner will be randomly drawn from all the current entries submitted.

The e-mail address for answers will be posted with the first trivia question.

The first trivia questions:

1) Before the re-premiere of ‘La Ventana’ on May 21, 2005, who was the last dancer to debut in the role of the Senor?

2) What year was the very first performance of ‘The Kermesse in Bruges’?


Answers should be e-mailed to ksneds@criticaldance.com with "Trivia" in the subject line. Entries will be accepted until 8pm Saturday night (Copenhagen time, which is 1 hr ahead of GMT and 6 hours ahead of EST).

The winner will receive a packet of the Bournonville Tea.

Trivia Quiz: Day 7

The character of Edouard Du Puy was based on real person, who performed at the Royal Theatre in the 19th Century. What country was Du Puy from?

The prize will be a copy of the English version of Ditlev Tamm's biography of August Bournonville.


For the last three quizzes, everyone is eligible to play, including past winners. However, people may only win one of the last three prizes.

The prize on Saturday will be one of the gorgeous Bournonville cups from Royal Copenhagen and the final prize will be the Bournonville Class DVD with the two accompanying books.
