In the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Zachary Lewis previews the Cleveland Orchestra/Joffrey Ballet collaboration on "The Rite of Spring," August 17-18, 2013 at the Blossom Music Festival. The program also includes Jerome Robbins' "Interplay," Stanton Welch's "Son of Chamber Symphony" and Yuri Possokhov's "Adagio" from "Spartacus."

It's pretty clear that this critic feels ballet should be limited to the classic Russian pas de deux. Fine, but then you're not ready to be a professional critic! Who goes to Rite of Spring and expects fancy pointe work and classical ballet? Clearly a critic who knows zilch about the dance word. It's quite possible that the production isn't very good, but to criticize Rite of Spring for lack of dancing, while saying there was a lot of movement is naive at best!

Then he mixes up his choreographers - if you're going to critique a ballet, you HAVE to at least credit the correct choreographer!! Never mind the litany of spelling errors.
