Smuin Ballet opens the 2010-11 season at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco with a new work by Trey McIntyre, "Oh, Inverted World" and two works by Michael Smuin, "Brahms-Haydn Variations" and "Bluegrass/Slyde."

Alastair Macaulay reviews the performance in the New York Times.

Macaulay also mentions his responses to a program of Indian dance at Yerba Buena Center and the Mark Morris Dance Group at Zellerbach Hall at the University of California, Berkeley, which performed a triple bill of "Behemoth," "Looky" and "Socrates."

Smuin Ballet oopens its 2011 Winter season at the Dean Lesher Center in Walnut Creek on February 4-5, 2011, with subsequent performances in Carmel and Mountain View later in February. Andrew Gilbert previews the season in the San Jose Mercury News.

In the San Jose Mercury News, Andrew Gilbert writes about the revival of Choo-San Goh's "Momentum" by the Smuin Ballet, May 6-15 at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco and May 20-21 at the Lesher Center in Walnut Creek. There are also preview notes about May performances by Diablo Ballet, Company C and the 2012 San Francisco Ballet season announcement.
