Royal Winnipeg Ballet's 2010-11 season announcement includes a new full length work, "Alice in Wonderland." The season will also be the finale for principal dancer Tara Birtwhistle. Alison Mayes reports in the Winnipeg Free Press.

Royal Winnipeg Ballet has commissioned a new ballet on the "Alice in Wonderland" story -- this one choreographed by Shawn Hounsell -- and entitled simply "Wonderland." The ballet will open in Winnipeg's Centennial on Wednesday, March 9 and continue through Sunday, March 13, 2011. Alison Mayes previews the work in the Winnipeg Free Press.
