The Joffrey will be performing a mixed bill in Santa Barbara on Monday, March 27, 2011. The program includes Gerald Arpino's "Reflections," Balanchine's "Tarantella," Lar Lubovitch's "...smile with my heart," and Edwaard Liang's "Age of Innocence." Elizabeth Schwyzer interviews artistic director Ashley Wheater for the Santa Barbara Independent.

Fabricce Calmels writes about the large number of dancers leaving the Joffrey at the end of the 2010-11 season. Longtime ballet master Charthel Arthur is among those departing.

In the Chicago Sun-Times, Hedy Weiss reports that Joffrey Artistic Director Ashley Wheater was a finalist for the position of Director of the Royal Ballet. He plans to remain with the Joffrey.
