The Bolshoi will be performing "Don Quixote" at Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, California, February 24-28, 2010. In her blog on the Los Angeles Times site, Victoria Looseleaf provides a preview of the performance with a focus on casting.

Thanks, Francis, for the newspaper reviews. I haven't read them yet, but from looking around the internet, it seems that Natalia Osipova got excellent newspaper reviews and an overwhelming audience response.

She is known most for prowess in the air (huge airy jumps).

From my seeing her over the the last few years, I would add....

Not only does she 'fly', she also 'floats'.


She can be as light on the ground and as 'heavenly' in her essence as she is in the air.
