Artistic director Mikko Nissinen said that the Opera House is better suited for some of the contemporary works being programmed. "The size of the Opera House allows a little more intimacy," he said. Nissinen added that the season's programming is designed both to keep the company's repertoire fresh and to save money in the 2008-09 budget, which will remain flat, at $25 million.

Wow, so many dancers I kow personally. I am very happy for Misa. She is a lovely dancer but tiny and it has been hard for her.

I remember Isaac Akiba too. Extremely talented kid and very focused. A bit like Boston's version of Ikolo Griffin.
