Why doesn't Oakland Ballet hire/retain Michael Lowe as AD? He has such a history with the company along with the passion, intelligence, and commitment necessary for the position. He seems like the natural choice to me...

I saw this program on Friday Oct 16 also, and was pleasantly surprised. Considering the company's recent history, I wasn't expecting much, but they cobbled together a very well danced and entertaining program. I agree that it could be a very good move for the Board to hire Michael permanently. He put together a good program under really bad circumstances.

It was nice to see so many familiar faces on stage (and in the audience). The dancers looked like they were having a really good time too.
