Wow, thanks for braving the crowds to give us such a fun review, Holly! I remember seeing one of the trocks, (Olga, maybe?) doing 32 fouettes, with triples on every fourth fouette. And the big smile, of course...

I also reading about them getting the kind of coaching from former Russian ballerinas of the sort that ALL ballerinas should be getting. It was sort of heartwarming to think they cared so much about the dance.

Thanks very much for that review, Holly. I also find that the Trocks are at their best when they transcend their own stereotype and just give us the goods straight and demonstrate what very fine dancers they are. I recall from their last performance in Seattle that they did a very fine La Vivandiere and Don Quixote pas de deux.

I just cannot wait to get my tickets to see these great dancers!!! and then I would have to worry about the travel to Melbourne but it will be worth it. :D:D:D I have their DVD and with the prowess on pointe & Grace I can imagine what goes on back stage!! I have to say that to dance on poine is very very hard and just hope the tape and toe socks will keep their feet happy. I wonder what brand of shoes they dance in? Mindens?

Anyway I see that they will be in Melbourne on 26 - 31 of October 2009!!! If all goes well and hope that I will have my tickets. :)
