I've been attending Houston programs for four seasons, and must say "Life and Laughter" featuring Stanton Welch's Tu Tu, Christopher Bruce's Sgt. Early's Dream and Jerome Robbins' The Concert, was the best I've seen, with outstanding work by the dancers, and fabulous sets and costumes. Too bad a rather sizeable potential conflict of interest prevents me from saying more, but I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who attends Houston Ballet's programs who could review for criticaldance.com? It's a major ballet company and while Francis does a fine job of sending us links to Houston Chronicle reviews and company news releases, it seems fitting that such a great company be reviewed by such an authoritative website as criticaldance and it's first cousin Ballet-Dance Magazine. Anyone want to put keys to keyboard?
