Jeff, I hope you had a chance while in Santa Fe to visit the plaza surrounding the Governor's mansion, and see the many native artists plying their arts. Nothing like buying the art - jewelry, baskets, sculpture, sandpaintings, cochina dolls, etc., directly from the hands of the creators.

Often the problem with the big city-er's coming to the 'outland' - is they try to bring the big city with them, instead of enjoying the outland for it's own particular joys. Which includes chili peppers.
