Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) are to perform in Norfolk, Virginia in the week commencing 30th April 2007.

The repertory has not yet been announced, although their UK programme around that time includes Cyrano (a new full-length by Artictic Director David Bintley) and an all Balanchine-Stravinsky triple bill.

Britain’s leading classical touring company to debut in Norfolk, Virginia with The Sleeping Beauty

Birmingham Royal Ballet will perform Sir Peter Wright’s bewitching production of "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Virginia Arts Festival, Norfolk USA in May 2007.

The Virginia Arts Festival will be in its eleventh year and is part of the 400th anniversary celebrations of Jamestown.

Jamestown was the first permanent English settlement in the Americas and the traditions established at Jamestown including representative government, the rule of law and cultural diversity, form the basis of American culture today.

BRB will feature as one of the special events that will pay homage to the anniversary and will perform alongside The Virginia Symphony who will bring the Tchaikovsky score to life.
