That is a wonderful website, Kevin, and they keep adding new pictures to it.

How nice to see Toni Lander. I remember her as being an excellent Odile.

Among the many new additions to the Ballerina Gallery site that may be of some interest to certain regulars at CD.com are Elizabeth Loscavio (Azlan?) and Cynthia Gregory (Basheva?).

ballerinagallery.com

I especially like the ones of Cynthia Gregory in rehearsal and with Bruhn and Nureyev in Napoli.

??? Someone call my name? :)

Yes, yes, yes! Gregory!!

I love that beautiful Swan Lake arabesque picture. I have an almost indentical one of Fonteyn in that pose.

Well, actually, I have never seen a picture of Gregory I didn't like. She broke all the 'givens'....tall people don't jump as well, tall people don't turn as well, tall people can't move as quickly. Gregory could do it all.

When I was a first-year student at SFB, Cynthia Gregory was, for me, the epitome of a ballerina.

Elizabeth Loscavio is beautiful. But that's DavidH's department. I'll defer to him. :)
