Post subject:  Briana Shepherd - SAB

Briana Shepherd, who is, I believe, just now finishing a year's scholarship with SAB, is an Australian from Perth, aged about 17, trained by her grandmother Terri Charlesworth. The latter is responsible for the education of a number of excellent dancers.

Apparently she is the oldest pupil the SAB has ever accepted.

I would be most interested to hear what has become of Miss Shepherd, and what her career plans may be.

Perhaps we shall be lucky, and she will choose to join a European troupe !

Thank you for your attention.

Post subject:  Bad news for us in Europe....

Briana Shepherd has just been taken on as apprentice, alongside Kaitlyn Gilliland, by the NYCB.

As I believe the dog in the comic strip, Snoopie, would have said,

Rats!

Rats for us Europeans I mean.

Australians, according to yesterday's "The Australian", will get to see Miss Shepherd as Aurora in September before she returns to New York.

And congratulations to Terri Charlesworth.
