The problem in London, Basheva is that it takes over. We normally have 2 of the three major UK companies performing little or nothing else. In the RB's first 3 month season in the refurbished ROH, 15 of the first 27 performances were Nutcrackers. <P>ENB are going easier this year, but last year they performed over 20 Nutcrackers in London in December. There will be little modern dance in London for the 6 week period around Christmas.

Oh, as it does here too. And this is where I commend companies like Smuin Ballets/SF and ODC/SF who put on non-Nutcracker Christmas works.
