I think that it is very important, as much as it is possible, to teach the boys separately from the girls, at least early on. <P>The ballet is identified so much as a female "thing" the boys really do need a place for themselves. But, it is more than that - they also need different music and preferably a male teacher. This is an imperative not only to keep their interest but for them to be taught correctly. Too many times boys find themselves having to dance to music timed for the female.
