Segment by Dance Channel TV on Universal Ballet of Korea. It is unfortunate that not many know about this wonderful company!

I think most people know far too much about Rev. Moon's artistic venture.

The company is funded by the Moonies, many people would see this as a valid reason to boycott their performances.

I can't speak about the backers but what I can tell you is that I saw them perform in San Francisco and, having seen the best, I can say that they rivaled some very well-known companies in terms of their technique, artistry and musicality. The talent of UB is unquestionable, and I can't not acknowledge the talent and dedication of these dancers (regardless of their religious beliefs and/or affiliations).

But I appreciate you responding... :)

In the Korea Times, Do Je-hae discusses the Universal Ballet's "Giselle" at the Seoul Arts Center through June 17, 2014.
