Russian ballet to perform in Pakistan

The people of Pakistan can rightfully claim that they hardly have an opportunity to experience performing artists who have thrilled audiences worldwide. And when such acts do perform here, the response is overwhelming. The arrival of the internationally famous Bolshoi Theatre Troupe of ballet and opera from Russia is one event that has had the country buzzing with excitement. Invited by the Volunteer Women’s Organisation in collaboration with the Russian Embassy to raise funds for poor women, the legendary troupe will be performing before audiences in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. In Lahore, the Bolshoi Theatre will perform at the Alhamra Hall I, The Mall on February 13 and 14.
