Well, salzberg, Aussies have a problem too of which Grace is one.<P>Grace, I'm a little confused. How is Reid's CORROBOREE different from the Stanton Welch one Australian Ballet brought to SF for UNited We Dance in 1995 (I think)?

Well, Grace, Stanton's "Corroborree" was also based on an aboriginal theme. As I recall it was inspired by a coming of age ritual. The movements seemed primal and not very balletic if memory serves me right. The dancers wore earth-toned face and body paint. The women had long-flowing skirts.<P>It was very sexy and was a huge hit at the UNited We Dance festival. The other big hit, as I recall, was Christopher Bruce's "Turning Point," danced by Rambert to Michael Nyman.<P>I will dig up my old program for more info.
