They are called the Ballet Boyz - two handsome, risk-taking dancers who have done more to rid ballet of its stale, inward-looking image than the battler heroics and captivating moves of the film Billy Elliot.
Michael Nunn and William Trevitt quit the protective walls of the hothouse Royal Ballet in 1999, in a bid to test their artistic mettle and create opportunities for themselves. The London flagship company had long been their home and they were well used to being spoon-fed while giving exemplary performances in many a production of Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.
