In this month's Music Festival in Macau (an hour away from Hong Kong), the only ballet company is the Latvian National Ballet. They will do a performance each of Sleeping Beauty and a Tchaikovsky evening next week. I'll probably go once, as it's so convenient by hovercraft. Macau has a beautiful Cultural Centre which was completed 2 years ago. (I saw Paul Taylor and the Ballet National de Marseilles there before.) The Kirov was due to perform there in December, but the tour was abruptly cancelled by Gergiev.

I like to add something which I just found out from Hu Xinxin's Chinese website. The Kirov is "tentatively" to perform Giselle in Shanghai on 11, 13, 14 November in the Shanghai Grand Theatre (where the ABT just performed). It's tentative and not yet finalised, because the fees charged by the Kirov may be too high for the Shanghai theatre.
