The Last Emperor
Hong Kong Ballet
The riveting story of Pu Yi, last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, is transformed into a signature performance of the Hong Kong Ballet by Canadian dancer/choreographer Wayne Eagling. Hailed by The New York Times for its "impressive production values...", this epic ballet premiered in 1997 as part of the events marking Hong Kong's return to China. A hot favourite on the festival circuit, having toured Canada and the USA, it is now acclaimed as Hong Kong Ballet's grandest production to date.
