The Royal Ballet to visit Taiwan

Contracts were signed last week for The Royal Ballet to perform at Taipei's National Theatre from June 30-July 3, 2011. Two programmes will be danced: Giselle, and a mixed bill that I understand will include more modern works.

The mixed programme in Taipei is Rhapsody (Ashton), Chroma (McGregor), DGV (Wheeldon).

The Royal Ballet will be presenting a new production of "Alice in Wonderland," with choreography by Christopher Wheeldon and a commissioned score by Joby Talbot, at Covent Garden from March 2 through 15, 2011. Jessica Duchen previews the work for The Independent.
