What a pity that both his company and himself are bankrupt - Following on from the scandal of the cocaine found with a shipment of his fruit I suppose no reputable promoter or press agents etc will want to represent the Mikhailovsky anymore. Was that why their New York visit was cancelled?

It is announced they were doing Swan Lake in the theatre leaflet  so that would seem to be cancelled now  we will have to wait and see what really happens....if they come and with who and what.

If they tour anywhere then it's best waiting to buy a ticket on the day in case there are problems

Do you have a link to back up that cocaine smuggling allegation?

Cocaine was found with a shipment of his - it was widely reported :http://www.liveinternet.ru/tags/vladimir+kekhman/

It is about credibility really - as they let everyone down in New York - did not do China as was announced by a Russian news agency and already have said they are not doing Swan Lake in London though it is advertised in the Coliseum leaflet it may be prudent to wait before buying tickets until one is sure they are in fact in London with the cast they say will perform- that's all.

Apparently a meeting regarding an operative investigation on Jan. 24th regarding the JFC Group at the Mikhailovsky prompted Mr. Kekhmann to issue a statement in a press release

http://www.mikhailovsky.ru/events/v_otvet_na_soobshcheniya_v_presse/

which states that the meeting is not at all involved with the theatre's economic or other operations of the theatre. It states that the investigation is part of a legal proceeding in accordance with the crime outlined in part 4, article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Kekhmann declares his full openness and cooperation with the investigation.

It looks certain that the London season is going ahead, but casting etc seems a bit confused at present. I'll post more information as I get it.

I hope it happens as some of the ballets on offer and the stars seem very good- but the "General Director" will not be coming. http://www.lenta.ru/news/2013/02/13/kehman/ his passport has been seized. After looking at the programme for their last two visits to the UK to see who was involved this time it is not listed on the websites of those organisations.

The Coliseum website provided casting for all Mikhailovsky's performances:

So that we don't get threads mixed up (and therefore miss things), note that there is a separate thread for the London performances here.

All the programmes will be reviewed here and in the magazine pages.
