Couldn't agree more, I hope the new enterprise helps to make a few more people aware of the art. Not sure of the merits of fashion designers at the ballet though as I seem to remember a gala evening at the ROH back in the 90's when a whole swathe of very famous designers got to design the costumes, the results were very mixed with one designer (Versace I think) producing a Firebird costume so jewel encrusted it made partnering impossible and had to be ditched.
Good to read the thoughts of Mr McRae though; I've always admired his dancing but in the past year I've detected a new maturity in his work, he really does go from strength to strength.
