Some initial details of the 2009 'Spring Dance at the London Coliseum' season have emerged.

The two American Ballet Theatre programmes and a mixed bill of Russell Maliphant’s work have recently been put on sale early tying in with the Coliseum’s early subscribers on sale date. The rest of the season will be on sale in conjunction with Sadler's Wells' own on sale date in early November and details of the entire Spring Dance season will be issued at that point.

For the moment here are the performances announced to date:

American Ballet Theatre

Wednesday 25 March – Saturday 4 April 2009
"Swan Lake". Wed 25 - Tue 31 March at 7.30pm, Thu 26, Sat 28 & Sun 29 March at 2.30pm
"Le Corsaire". Thu 2 - Sat 4 April at 7.30pm, Sat 4 at 2.30pm

Russell Maliphant

Monday 7 – Friday 11 April
"two : four : ten". A mixed programme of works including "Knot", "Sheer" and "Critical Mass", featuring guest artists, Dana Fouras, Agnes Oaks, Thomas Edur and Daniel Proietto.
Performances at 7.30pm, and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Another date for the Spring Dance season has been announced.

Birmingham Royal Ballet will present two programmes:

Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 April 2009
‘Pomp and Circumstance’: ‘Serenade’ (ch Balanchine), ‘Enigma Variations’ (ch Ashton), ‘Still Life at the Penguin Café (ch Bintley).

Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 April 2009
‘Sylvia’ (ch Bintley).

These are not yet on general sale.
