Although not much of a pop music fan, I adored the Beach Boys in my youth and saw them perform live in London on more than one occasion. I would guess that the initiative to invite Mr Wilson came from ENB director Wayne Eagling who has a real flair for marrying ballet and pop. Hands up those of you that remember the brilliant Freddie Mercury appearing in another of Eagling's galas when he sang Bohemian Rhapsody with the Royal Ballet. An unforgettable evening!
Tickets prices mean that this event is strictly for the well heeled but I'm hoping some of you Criticaldance readers with a bit of dosh will make it along to this one and report back.
More about the event on the BBC website.
