The Royal Ballet season starts in October and has performances posted through January. October will begin with La Bayadere followed by Romeo and Juliet. November will also include Jewels.

Alina Cojocaru is happily scheduled to dance two La Bayaderes, two Romeo and Juliets and four Jewels.

An interesting May 21 article by Zoe Anderson about several of the Royal Ballet's young dancers.

* This year will also mark the 47th Anniversary of the first appearance of Frederick Ashton's Dancing Chickens ("La Fille Mal Gardee"). I do hope that the Royal Ballet has something really special planned. *

[Belated thanks to kurinuku for the Zoe Anderson article. I knew that I must have found it somewhere.]
